NEW BALANCE NARRATIVE COMMERCIAL (2022)
A man confronts a cult that has turned his wife into a New Balance 990??

inspired by Attack on Titan, Evangelion, anime in general
REIWA 9000 (2021)
Per the request of his grandmother, a Japanese-American man goes to the beach in Los Angeles.
The magic of Playboi Carti music is that you feel the music; you feel the atmosphere he created, rather than thru any reliance on lyrics. I attempted to translate that in the film medium.
My third narrative shot in 2019, completed in 2021 is REIWA 9000. It was a film meant to be seen by no one. I was just insecure and decided if anyone was gonna fuck up this film it was gonna be me, all me. I had no fun making this and that's why I only make things that are fun now. I learned a lot and I appreciate this experience.
What's with the title? 9000 was the budget for the film. It's not that deep.
Shot by Jay Swuen. Edited by Clarence Deng. Starring Aoi Takeya, Chikako Fukuyama, Akiko Shima. Premiered at LAAPFF '22
VALLEY (directed by Allan Tran)
I lie to a lot of people about this but this was the 2nd thing I ever acted in in my entire life. Shot in 2019, entirely blessed and proud to be a part of authentic Asian-American cinema.
Written/Directed/Edited by Allan Tran, shot by Sunny Wong
With my castmates Bloom Li, Michelle Park
HOCK, SPIT, VOMIT (2016)
A diner. a waitress. a couple. a drunken man. a lotto ticket.
my second ever narrative film, Hock Spit Vomit. Raw, just raw. And dumb weirdo undergrad film vibes. Thanks to my ultra talented and unpaid cast and crew. I hated my AD tho, I hope she doing good I needed that experience to learn to work with producers on set. Fun fact I got a D in my thesis writing class because I was more focused on making this, I almost did not graduate.
Shot by Bella Tan on a cold December 2015 night in a Queens diner.
Starring: Whitney St. Ours, David Bell, Bradley Carter, Teri Madonna.
Pretty obviously inspired by PTA
Technically the first narrative I ever made. It's dumb, it's fun, A parody noire film made for a class with 2 classmates over 2 days. Idk what happened to those 2 people but I remember you and that was the best of times. I was mentally ill back then boy. Shot in Staten Island lol. I miss these days when I just made whatever dumbass shit popped into my brain and there was no audience. This is a certified ray classic.
Starring: Danielle Kaye, John Donchak, Ray Dweck, Pesto.
